10 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Fall

10 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Fall

I can’t believe it’s already fall. Time feels like it’s flying, and I wanted to take a moment to slow down and share a few of the little (and big) things I’m most looking forward to this season.

1. Long walks in cozy scarves
There’s nothing better than bundling up in a winter coat and scarf, pressing play on my favorite playlist, and wandering through crisp air until my cheeks turn pink. It’s the simplest kind of magic.

2. Seasonal drinks
Call me basic, but a hot pumpkin spice almond milk latte is one of my favorite parts of fall. That first sip always feels like a hug.

3. My debut album, "Cinematic"
This one still feels surreal. My debut album "Cinematic" comes out October 24, and it’s been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I can’t wait for you to hear it, to live inside its world with me, and to start this new chapter together.

4. Watching the leaves change colors
I’ll be in Nashville writing my second album this fall, and I can’t wait to spend afternoons in the park surrounded by changing leaves. Nature is so beautiful and reminds me of how thoughtful God is in every single detail of His design.

5. Earmuffs
I love all things cozy and glamorous, but earmuffs might be my favorite accessory of all time. There’s just something so old-Hollywood about them, especially the fluffy faux-fur ones that make me feel like I’m walking through a movie scene.

6. Patterned tights
As soon as the weather cools down, it’s tights season for me. I love how a simple pair of patterned tights can completely change an outfit and make it feel unique and expressive.

7. Persimmons and pomegranates
Persimmons are one of my favorite fruits ever. They taste like a natural pumpkin pie — maybe even better. I love grabbing fresh ones from the farmers market, but if you ever find dried persimmons, try them. They’re incredible. Pomegranates are just as amazing. My favorite fall fruits.

8. Movie nights
Fall is made for movie nights. Whether it’s a solo cozy night in, a hangout with girlfriends, or time with family, I can’t wait to curl up and watch old vintage films. I’ve been meaning to start a classic movie list this year, so if you have any favorites, drop them in the comments below.

9. Early sunsets
Even though I’ll always be a beach girl, there’s something about early sunsets that sparks my creativity. I love the way nighttime feels like an invitation to sit at my piano and write. I think I’ll always be a night owl at heart.

10. Gratitude
Fall always reminds me to slow down and be grateful. I make weekly gratitude lists in my journal, but something about the autumn air makes my heart extra thankful. If you’re reading this, text someone you love and tell them how grateful you are for them. It’ll make both of your days.

Those are just ten of the many things I’m looking forward to this fall. I could probably list a million more. If you have your own fall favorites, I’d love to hear them in the comments below. Love you all so much, and I can’t believe "Cinematic" will finally be yours October 24. This is going to be a life-changing season.

Xoxo, Lily
