Hi, I’ve Missed You

Hi, I’ve Missed You

Hello my sweet blog readers,

I cannot believe it’s been about four months since I last wrote a blog post, but you know me, I will always be in August. I wanted to catch you guys up on everything I’ve been doing and fill you in on the summer I’ve had so far.

I’ve been doing a lot of writing, which can be such an introspective process. You disappear into your own little world for a while, trying to figure out what you’re feeling, what you’re trying to say, and what any of it means. But now that I’m starting to come out the other side, I get to begin sharing again and bring you guys into the process, which is truly one of my favorite parts of making things.

I’ve also been getting back into video editing, and it has been so much fun. One thing I’ve really learned this summer is to just use whatever you have and make something. Make art anyway!!! For the longest time, I didn’t want to make music videos because I didn’t have a huge budget. I was afraid they would look silly or cheap or that I wouldn’t be able to make them look the way I saw them in my head. And somewhere along the way this summer, I just got over it. Some of my favorite videos I’ve made recently were created with my friends or completely by myself, and I think that’s part of why I love them so much. There’s something really special about realizing you don’t need permission, a giant production, or the perfect circumstances to create something you’re proud of.

I’ve also been in the studio with Kyle working on my second album, which is actually insane to type. How are we already almost at LK2???? CRAZY!!

I feel so excited about where the music is going and even more grateful that you’re still here for all of it. Also this summer I released Cinematic (Deluxe), which still feels unreal to say. It has four more songs that felt like they needed to exist inside the Cinematic universe before I could really close that chapter. It’s funny because the album isn’t even a year old yet, but sometimes it feels like these songs have existed forever. I guess, in a way, they have. I lived with so many of them privately for such a long time before they became yours. I would love to know what song from Cinematic is resonating with you right now. Mine always changes depending on my mood and whatever I’m going through, but lately I’ve really been feeling “Let Me Leave” and “Subconscious.” Maybe that’s the best part about songs. They keep changing without actually changing at all.

I’m really excited for the future, but I’m also incredibly grateful for exactly where I am right now with all of you. And I promise, I’m back. I’m ready for fall and winter 2026, and I have this strange feeling that they’re going to be a little life changing. I’m getting back to vlogging, blogging, I have new music coming soon, more music videos in the works, and so many things I cannot wait to bring you into. I’m just really happy you’re here. As always, I’m here too if you ever need someone to talk to. Love you always. This is our time to shine!!!

Xoxo, Lily

P.S. One more exciting thing before I go: you can officially get your own limited-edition copy of Cinematic on vinyl! I’m doing a very small pressing, which makes these feel even more special to me. Get yours before they’re gone and keep a little piece of Cinematic history with you forever. I still can’t believe we made it all the way from songs in my head to an actual record you can hold in your hands.
